Welcome Bowlers!
I'm Lisa Skultety, Secretary of the Washington University in St. Louis Bowling Club, and I'd like to invite you to kick-start your weekends by bowling with us every Friday afternoon! Or get your week off to a great start, and come with us Monday nights!
Bowling Club, a Category II group of SU, is a group of Wash U students, who get together to practice, enjoy each other's company, and have fun. Whether we're good or not (averages range from 60-175+), we all have one thing in common: we love to bowl! Bowling Club strives to promote bowling in the Wash U community and provide cheap bowling to students (Friday: only $6 for two games and shoes and $4 if you have shoes! Monday: only $3 for three games, plus the price of shoes!).
Participation in Bowling Club is a great way to improve your bowling average. For example, at the beginning of last year, my personal average was around 90, but by the end, it was 120. I look forward to bowling every Friday because it's fun and a great stress-reliever after a long week of study.
There is no attendance commitment. If you can only come one week out of the whole semester, that's perfectly fine. You don't even need to tell us ahead of time, just show up at the Clocktower at 3:15pm on Fridays, or 8:30PM on Mondays. If you are an upperclassman and happen to have a car, we are always looking for extra cars, so bring it along!
Be sure to check out the other pages on this site - David and Mike worked really hard on it and we don't want to make them feel bad.
The vitals:
When: Every Friday from 3:15pm - 5:30pm(ish), Every Monday from 8:30PM - 11:00pm(ish)
Where: We meet at the Clocktower on the South 40 and transportation is provided by upperclassmen to and from the Tropicana Lanes
Who: Everyone who loves to bowl
Cost: We get a special discount at Tropicana, so it's $6 for two games and shoes; $4 if you have your own shoes. On Mondays, it is $3 for 3 games, plus the price of shoes.
So bring a friend (or two!) and come have an awesome end to an otherwise stressful week!
