Welcome to the homepage of the Washington University Traditional Karate Club. This club was established in 1990 at Washington University in St. Louis. The Washington University Traditional Karate Club is a forum for exploring traditional karate. The club is a subsidiary of the Traditional Karate Research Institute (TKRI). TKRI is an institution dedicated to practicing, researching, and exploring traditional karate. Also, our club, along with TKRI, is a member of Seijinkai.

Instruction for the WashU Traditional Karate Club is provided by the head instructor, Mr. Robert Miller, of the TKRI. The instructors include Mr. Miller and the senior members of the TKRI. This semeser training sessions are offered every Monday and Saturday on the WashU campus. Practice times and locations are available under the training times section.

Beginners are always welcome. Karate is practiced for many different reasons. Students may enter the training halls to improve their tempers, teach themselves discipline, strengthen their bodies, or strengthen their minds. T.K.R.I. and the WashU Traditional Karate Club allow students to develop along the paths they choose.

Thank you for your interest in the club. For more information, please see the following links or contact the Washington University Traditional Karate Club at karate@sugroups.wustl.edu.
