Mission Statement

Are you a Washington University student interested in going to law school? Have you noticed that there doesn't seem to be the same structure or security that one might find in a pre-med or engineering curriculum? In fact, you might have noticed that there seems to be no "pre-law curriculum" at all. We realize that that all of this might be confusing, and that's why we are here. The pre-law society is open to any student who may be interested in pursuing a legal career. The purpose of the society is to make each one of its members a more competitive and informed applicant to law school. Through informational sessions, activities, and guest speakers, we hope to educate students on the law school application process, and to help them in deciding whether to attend law school. We will serve as a resource for members, helping them to make the wise decisions now that will increase chances for law school admission later.

Who We Are

The Pre-Law Society is a Student Union recognized organization. That means we have access to several resources, incuding supplemental funding, university buildings, web space, and office equipment. We also work with the pre-law office on campus, as well as with outside companies like Kaplan and Princeton Review, all to bring the best programming possible to the campus of Washington University.
