Spring WILD games and registration
April 30, Bowles Plaza

St. Louis Project Democracy was happy to collaborate with Team 31 at their W.I.L.D. spring festival to combine voter registration and mobilization with the fun of festival games and music acts.
Volunteers registered voters, facilitated a game of "Candidate Pong" in which participants had to knock out their least favorite presidential candidate in beer pong style, and helped young voters "Stick it to 'Em" on a poster-sized comment boards on which voters voiced their positive and negative comments about John Kerry and George Bush.
Project Democracy was there to answer questions for festival-goers and raise awareness about the importance of voting, and the importance of voting in the swing state of Missouri. For more information on why to vote in Missouri, check out the link at the top of the St. Louis Project Democracy page. Happy Voting! See you at next W.I.L.D.!

Dorm Storming
March 21, South 40

Project Democracy took over the South Forty dorms for one evening, with its members going door to door to get students registered. We all met up first beforehand to plan out our attack on the unregistered freshmen and sophomores, before splitting up into small groups to cover each of the dorms. Clipboards, registration cards, issue surveys and information in hand, we explained to the residents why voting was important, why voting in Missouri was very important, and answered any questions. Over 100 students were registered that night.
