Turner Williams, Washington University (detail)
submission is power

We are now accepting submissions for the Fall 2007 issue.

If you're an undergrad, you should send us your fiction, poetry, and art: spiresmagazine@gmail.com.

1. Send all submissions as attachments. Text can be in either .doc or .rtf format. Images should be scanned at 600 dpi or higher and saved as compressed TIFF files.

2. Do not put your name in the body of your attachment. Tell us about yourself in your email (at least tell us your full name and where you go to school).

3. Please use 12 point Times New Roman font. Do not put more than one poem on a page. Fiction submissions should be no longer than 18 double-spaced pages (not 1.5-spaced).

4. Put "submission" in the subject line of all text submissions, and "art submission" in the subject line of all art submissions.

5. A note on art submissions: If you're a Wash U student, instead of emailing us, you can get in touch with our art editor, Oliver Hulland, and have him come photograph your work.

Expect to hear back from us around the start of the following semester. (That's sometime in either September or January.)
