Pi Phi and Theta Xi Win Best Facade at the 2009 Thurtene Carnival!

Pi Beta Phi and the Iota Chapter of Theta Xi won the Daniel Buckley Award for best construction at the 2009 Thurtene Carnival. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this amazing experience. Pi Phi and Theta Xi continue to be one of the strongest pairs at this Washington University in St. Louis community event, and could not have accomplished this without the help of our supporters.

Spring 2009 Rush is Here!

Whether we’ve met you before or if you’ve never been to the row, you’re welcome to rush. Rush is your chance to check out something new with nothing to lose. If you’re interested, you are encouraged to join our facebook group. We have the following open events, to which anyone can come, coming up:

Tuesday, Jan 13 - Hooters: Meet at the house at 6:30pm.

Saturday, Jan 17 - Service Day: Busses from the 40 from 11am-3pm.

Wednesday, Jan 21 - Demo Ball: Meet at the house at 6:00pm.

Saturday, Jan 24- Dickey’s BBQ and Big Glove Boxing: Meet at Mudd Multipurpose Room at 2:00pm.

Monday Jan 26- Bowling at Pin-Up: Meet at the house at 7:00

After the open events, rushees that are being considered for membership will be invited to two closed events, which will be held on Jan 29th and Jan 31st.

Iota Chapter Announces Chapter Sweetheart

2008 Habitat for Humanity BBQ!

On October 3rd, the Iota Chapter of Theta Xi will be holding its inaugural BBQ benefiting Habitat for Humanity! With the help of the Pi Beta Phi sorority, Habitat for Humanity, and the Gargoyle, we will be hosting an evening of food, music, and fun.

We are currently seeking donations and sponsors for the event. All proceeds benefit the St. Louis area Habitat for Humanity. You can donate by credit card or by mailing a check made out to the Theta Xi Fraternity to:

2008 Gateway MS150 Charity Bike Ride

This year’s Gateway MS150 charity bike ride benefiting the National Multiple Sclerosis Society is September 6th and 7th in Columbia, Missouri. Our chapter will again have brothers riding the 150-mile course and volunteering at course rest-stops.
